Decline in Plus 2 takers: Why educators say
This year, 29,352 less students are going to write the Plus Two General Examination than last year.The Department of School Education has announced that 7 lakh 74,000 students are going to write the Plus Two public examination this year.

The Plus Two General Examinations are going to start on 1st March. 7 lakh 74 thousand 33 students are going to write this exam.

Last year a total of 8 lakh 3 thousand 385 students wrote the exam. Out of which 4 lakh 21 thousand 13 female students and 3 thousand 82 thousand 371 male students appeared for the exam.
In that way, the number of students writing the Plus Two public examination this year has decreased compared to last year. In other words, 29 thousand 352 students are going to write the Plus Two general examination this year.

After the corona period, a large number of students did not enroll in class 11 after class 10 as the reason for the decrease in the number of students.

It is to be noted that the students who are writing the 12th standard public examination this year are those who have completed 10th standard in the year 2022.
