The country's first Hindu temple has been built in Abu Mureqah, near Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of this temple in 2019. The construction work of the temple was carried out by the BAPS organization, in this case, the Prime Minister, who went on a 2-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, participated in the opening ceremony of the temple. Inaugurating the temple, Prime Minister Modi offered floral tributes to the Swami Narayan statue. He also supplied the water of Ganges and Yamuna to the temple. He also visited the model of the temple installed in the campus.
