With various facilities such as bus station and metro coming up, Klambakkam area next to Chennai is getting ready to emerge as a new landmark.A bus station outside the city was planned to ease the increasing traffic congestion in the capital Chennai. This means that arrangements have been accelerated to reduce the load on the Koyambedu bus stand. The scheme was announced in 2012 by then Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. After that on February 22, 2019, Clambakkam area was selected and the foundation stone was laid by the then Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami.
