Justice Khanna Becomes New Chief Justice of India; Tenure of Just 183 Days
Justice Sanjiv Khanna was sworn in as India's 51st Chief Justice (CJI) on November 11th. The oath was administered by President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
In addition to former Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, the ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
