Condolence Resolution for Vijayakanth in Legislative Assembly; Members observed a 2 minute silence
A 2 minute silence was observed after Speaker Appavu finished reading the condolence resolution.
As the 2nd day of the budget session of the Legislative Assembly began, condolence notes were read for the late members Vadivelu, Deivanayagam, Thangavel, Durai Ramasamy, K.K.Selvam, S.Rajasekaran and others. A 2 minute silence was observed after Speaker Appavu finished reading the condolence resolution.
Following that, Speaker Appavu read out the condolence resolution on the death of late former Reserve Bank of India Governor Venkatraman, renowned ophthalmologist Bhadrinath, former Tamil Nadu Governor Fatima Bivi, former Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Government and former Odisha State Governor Rajendran.
A condolence resolution was also passed on the demise of DMDK leader and former Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Vijayakanth. Members then observed a 2-minute silence to mark their demise.
