Kavalkinaru daily market selling saffron at Rs.3 – Farmers worried!
There is a daily vegetable market at Kavalkinaru Tukhu near Panagudi, Nellai district. In this area, farmers used to sell various types of vegetables including Kathari, Chilli, Pusani, Cucumber, Pudlai and Vendai grown from various towns in Radhapuram, Vekteryan Udhal and Nanguneri taluk.
Following this, a daily vegetable market was held today at Kavalkinaru Khuva near Panagudi. In it, the supply of various types of vegetables including saffron, khatari, chillies, pumpkin, cucumber, beetroot and venda has increased.
Accordingly, for the last few days, per kg Rs. 30 per kg, butalangai is now selling at Rs. 3 sold. Traders said that the price has come down due to the increase in supply. The farmers who produced it were very worried due to the fall in the price of saffron.
