The Karnataka police had so far arrested 5 people in the Rameswaram cafe blast case.The NIA has taken up the Rameswaram cafe blast case in Bengaluru.

Rameswaram Cafe restaurant is located in Kundalahalli area near Whitefield of Karnataka capital Bengaluru. With branches in various locations, this restaurant is always busy. As usual on 1st March around 1 pm there were many people sitting there eating. Then, 2 bombs exploded with a very loud sound.
Due to this, the entire restaurant looked like a smoke zone. The glass of the hotel and the granite stones on the floor were broken and scattered. Shocked customers and employees ran out. 10 people, including women and restaurant workers, were injured in the blast. Police and firemen rushed to the restaurant and rescued the injured and admitted them to hospital.
An investigation conducted by the police revealed that the bombs exploded in the hand washing area of ​​the restaurant. A bag there contained an identity card, a battery and an iron bolt. The police have seized them and are investigating. Sniffer dogs, forensic scientists and bomb experts were called in to collect clues. The Karnataka police had so far arrested 5 people in the Rameswaram cafe blast case. The investigation was carried out on the basis of the CCTV footage captured at the scene of the incident.
In this case, the NIA has taken up the Rameswaram Cafe blast case in Bengaluru. The case has been handed over to the NIA while the Karnataka police are investigating. Accordingly, the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that the NIA will now investigate the blast.
